Privacy Policy
At Connect&, we believe meaningful connection starts with trust.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how we use it when you visit our website, participate in our programs, purchase products, or otherwise engage with our community.
Our Commitment
Connect& was created to bring people together through conversation, storytelling, and shared experiences. We are committed to treating your personal information with the same care and respect that we hope our products inspire between people.
We will never sell your personal information to third parties.

We may collect information that you voluntarily provide, including:
-
Name
-
Email address
-
Organization name
-
Event registrations
-
Contact information submitted through forms
-
Feedback, survey responses, or testimonials you choose to share
We may also collect limited technical information automatically, such as:
-

-
Device information
-
Website usage data
-
Pages visited on our website and subdomains, including our interactive card pages
This information helps us understand how people use our website and improve the experience for everyone.
How We Use Your Information
We use information to:
-
Respond to inquiries and messages
-
Provide products, services, and resources
-
Share updates about Connect&
-
Improve our website and community offerings
-
Understand how our programs and products are being used
-
Support partnerships, events, and community engagement activities
-
Share responses publicly, on social media or in our materials, only where you have explicitly chosen that option
-
Send you occasional updates about Connect&, only where you have asked us to
-
Improve the deck — understanding which questions people engage with shapes what we publish next
We only collect information that helps us operate responsibly and serve our community effectively.
Email Communications
If you choose to join our mailing list, we may occasionally send updates about new products, events, partnerships, or opportunities to engage with Connect&.
You may unsubscribe at any time using the link included in our emails.
Cookies and Analytics
Our website may use cookies and analytics tools to better understand website traffic and improve user experience.
These tools help us learn what content is most helpful and how visitors engage with our website.
You can adjust your browser settings if you prefer not to accept cookies.
How We Protect Information
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we collect and maintain appropriate safeguards to prevent unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse.
While no online system can guarantee complete security, we are committed to handling information responsibly and continually improving our practices.
Sharing Information
We may work with trusted service providers who help us operate our website, process transactions, send communications, or support community activities.
We do not sell personal information.
We only share information when necessary to provide services, comply with legal obligations, or protect the rights and safety of our users and organization.
Children's Privacy
Connect& is designed to support connection across generations. However, our website is not intended to collect personal information directly from children without appropriate parental or guardian involvement.
If you believe information has been collected from a child inappropriately, please contact us so we can address the situation promptly.
When you Scan a Connect& Card
Our printed cards and online posts link to a page where you can draw questions from the deck. When you open that page we record which card or post brought you there, which questions you drew, which ones you answered, and how long you spent. We also record your general device type. None of this identifies you.
You may also choose to share:
-
An answer to one of the questions
-
Your age range
-
Your first name
-
Your email address
All of these are optional. The page works fully without any of them.
Your answer is not sent to us until you press save. If you type something and change your mind, deleting it means we never receive it. Once saved, you can edit or remove it while that question is on screen.
We only keep your name and email address if you ask us to — either by joining our mailing list or by asking us to email you a copy of your answers. If you later withdraw that request, we delete them.
Your choices are separate
When you save an answer, you choose one of three options: share it with your first name, share it anonymously, or keep it private. We follow that choice. Private answers are never published in any form.
Joining our mailing list is a separate decision, with its own checkbox, which is never ticked for you. Choosing to share an answer does not sign you up for anything.
You can withdraw either at any time by emailing us.
Young People
Connect& is made for people of all ages, including children. Our card pages can be used by anyone.
If you tell us you are under 18, we don't keep what you write. Your answer stays on your device — we only record that a question was answered, never the answer itself. We don't ask for your name or email address, and nothing you write is ever shared or published.
If you'd like updates about Connect&, ask a parent or guardian to sign up at connectand.org.
If you are a parent or guardian with a question, email us at connectand@normalnext.org.
Getting your information removed
Email us at connectand@normalnext.org and we will delete what we hold.
If you gave us your email address, replying to any message from us is enough. If you asked us to email you a copy of your answers, that message contains a reference code that identifies your response.
If you answered anonymously and gave us no contact details, we have no way to connect that answer to you, and we cannot retrieve or delete it on request. This is a direct consequence of not collecting anything that identifies you. If this concerns you, please don't submit an answer, or ask us to email you a copy so you have your reference code.
Your Choices
You may request to:
-
Access your personal information
-
Correct inaccurate information
-
Update your preferences
-
Request deletion of information where appropriate
To make a request, please contact us using the information below.
Changes to This Policy
As Connect& grows, this Privacy Policy may evolve as well. We will post updates on this page and revise the effective date when changes are made.

Safety and Security
At Connect&, we believe meaningful connection begins with trust, respect, and personal choice.
While our cards and facilitation experiences encourage conversation and storytelling, we encourage all participants to share only what feels comfortable for them. No one should ever feel pressured to disclose personal, sensitive, financial, medical, or identifying information during a game, event, or online interaction.
For your safety, we recommend that participants avoid sharing:
-
Home addresses
-
Phone numbers
-
Financial information
-
Passwords or account credentials
-
Government identification numbers
-
Detailed medical information
-
Any information that could compromise your privacy or security
Everyone has the right to pass on a question, change the topic, or set personal boundaries at any time.
When participating in Connect& events, online communities, or facilitated conversations, we ask that all members treat one another with kindness, respect, and consideration. Stories shared within our community should be honored with care and confidentiality whenever possible.
Our goal is to create spaces where people can connect authentically while maintaining control over their own personal information and comfort levels.
If you ever feel unsafe, uncomfortable, or believe community guidelines have been violated, please contact our team so we can address the concern appropriately.
Thank you for helping us create a community built on trust, curiosity, and respect.
